Israeli Government Leaders Announce Plans to Annex Gaza
Israels leaders hold conference to encourage resettlement in Gaza in contravention of international law, rulings made by the International Court of Justice, demonstrating intent to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza.
Israel's Likud Party, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are preparing to promote the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip. Despite Netanyahu previously dismissing the idea, key ministers, parliamentarians, and activists from the right-wing party are pushing the initiative under the slogan “Gaza is Ours, Forever.”
This conference, scheduled near the Gaza border, is drawing support from right-wing factions, including the Otzma Yehudit and Religious Zionism parties, which advocate for settlement expansion.
The orgahnised plan to settle Gaza undermines conclusions made by the International Court of Justice which advised Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory is unlawful. srael's ongoing genocide in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 42,400 people, mostly civilians, and extended the conflict to Lebanon. International concerns are growing, with warnings that the region is on the brink of a larger war as Israel expands its military operations.
Palestinians in Gaza are now facing annihilation in Gaza. With the Israeli government operating with imputiny in defiance of international law, it now urgent that an international protective force is established to shield Palestinian civilians from further violence.
